Todays tip is about squeezing lemons. It may be odd to have a tip about squeezing lemons but I see lots of people in the kitchen squeeze a lemon then pick out the seeds. Want an easier way? Turn the lemon upside down so the cut side of half a lemon is up and then squeeze the lemon while covering the cut side with your hand. You'll find few, if any, lemon seeds in your squeezed lemon juice.

I grew up in England and as a child travelled throughout Europe a lot. In my youth I was exposed to varying foods from all the different regions. Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, French and Greek food to name a few. This led me to what I would call a more eclectic palate. Out of all the foods I have tried I would say these are the 10 everyone should try at least once. Here they are in no particular order:

  1. Fresh Piedmont White Truffles
  2. Fresh (not canned) Sardines
  3. Heirloom Tomatoes
  4. Foie Gras
  5. Osetra Caviar
  6. Maine Bouchot Mussels
  7. Winnemere Cheese
  8. Soppressata di Calabria
  9. Morel Mushrooms
  10. Fiddlehead Greens
